Enhance the knowledge on healthy eating habits and nutrition

Today we have signed Memorandum of Understanding to grant funds to the Society for Health Education to conduct a program on nutrition and healthy lifestyle. With lifestyle changes associated with development and consequently the high prevalence of risk factors such as consumption of sugary and fatty foods and drinks and sedentary lifestyles, NCD have emerged as the major cause of morbidity and mortality in the country.

Under the program SHE plans to implement awareness raising sessions, skills building and empowerment sessions, practical sessions and healthy eating and nutrition promotion events. The objective of this program is to enhance the knowledge on healthy eating habits and nutrition and to develop greater understanding on the importance of good nutrition and healthy eating habits.SHE3
