Enhance the knowledge on healthy eating habits and nutrition

Today we have signed Memorandum of Understanding to grant funds to the Society for Health Education to conduct a program on nutrition and healthy lifestyle. With lifestyle changes associated with development and consequently the high prevalence of risk factors such as consumption of sugary and fatty foods and drinks and sedentary lifestyles, NCD have emerged as the major cause of morbidity and mortality in the country. Capacity Building of WDCs on SDG and Gender Equality

Project awarding letter was signed by Ali Fulhu Thuthu Foundation  (AFTF) and Hope for Women (HFW) today at a small function held at AFTF. AFTF will be supporting HFW to conduct capacity building workshops for WDCs in Vaavu Atoll and Shaviyani Atoll.  The workshops will focus on building the capacity of women in areas of gender, women’s rights, political participation, good governance and leadership. 3 Mosques funded by AFTF, have been opened for Ramadan 1438

L Maamendhoo Mosque

On November 1st 2015, AFTF signed an agreement with Ministry of Islamic Affairs, to donate 6 mosques in the Maldives. Further to this AFTF later agreed to build the mosque at HDh. Hanimaadhoo. Among these, the mosques at L. Maamendhoo, R. Hulhudhuffaaru & M. Mulah was opened on Friday 26th May 2017, for the Friday Prayers. Work for L. Maamendhoo Mosque commenced on 30th November 2015, while the mosque was handed over to Ministry of Islamic Affairs on 08th February

AFTF Grant Awarding to National NGOs

NGO Grants Ceremony

A small ceremony was held at Champa Central Hotel to award grants to 7 prominent NGOs in the country. These 7 NGOs are, UWC Maldives, Care Soceity, Cancer Society of Maldives, Journey, Society for Health Education, Maldives Autism Association & Maldivian Red Crescent. AFTF have been funding national NGOs since 2012 and under the program AFTF will be funding 3.3 million MVR to the NGOs this year. The funds would be used in providing scholarships, drug rehabilitation & HIV prevention,
