Baa Atoll Education Center installs multimedia in classrooms

B. Eydhafushi - Multimedia Equipments in Classrooms of AEC

To assist the ‘digitalizing the classrooms’ program carried out by of Baa Atoll Education Centre, ‘Foundation of Eydhafushi Youth Linkage (FEYLI)’ submitted the proposal to install multimedia projectors in 7 classrooms of the school. The program was initiated by the school with the aim of improving the teaching facilities in order to motivate the students to learn and encourage the teachers to create more interesting lessons. Installations of all the projectors were completed by December 2013.

Development of Maares Quran class with improved facilities in B. Maalhos

B. Maalhos - Development of Maares Quran class with improved facilities

‘Maalhos Recreation and Environment Society (MAARES)’ submitted the proposal with the aim of developing the Quran class to equip with improved facilities and construct a toilet in the class. Construction of the toilet was outsourced to a contractor and carried out at the own expense of Maares. With the new equipment in place, the student of the Quran class have shown more interest in learning while teachers finds is easier in teaching the children.

Relocation of Kihaadhoo Preschool

The ‘Kihaadhoo Islanders for Helping All Around (KIHAA)’ aimed at operating the Preschool in a separate location presently run in a class room of Kihaadhoo School. With the assistance from island council the NGO proposed to convert the old women mosque to use as the new Preschool building. Boundary wall for Aisiru Preschool in B. Kendhoo

Aisiru Preschool

 The Women Development Committee (WDC) of B. Kendhoo submitted the proposal for construction of the boundary wall in Aisiru Pre School in order to to provide a safe environment to the students. All the necessary construction materials were donated to WDC by AFTF. The construction works were carried out by a contractor. After the construction was completed, Kendhoo Peoples United NGO painted the wall free of charge.

Completion of Rasdhoo Preschool

‘Rasdhoo Educational Development Association (RED Association)’ submitted the proposal to complete the Preschool and make the school environment child friendly. Under the project, AFTF donated furniture including tables, chairs and book cases for the classroom and play items for the playground. All items have been assembled and installed in the classrooms as planned by December 2013.
