The youth of N.Fohdhoo took initiation in submitting a proposal for the renovation of ’Masjidhul Nasru’ in the island on 15th May 2012. The space inside the mosque was getting limited for prayers. So the ablution area was planned to be relocated and reconstructed at the side of the mosque giving extra space in the compound that can be used for prayers if inside gets filled. Installation of water tap work of ablution area was opened for bids and one contractor was selected.

Agreement was made for 50 days starting from 1st of August 2012. Two toilets and a storage area was also constructed with the ablution area. Work was delayed due to bad weather but was finished within few days after the estimated date. Work was monitored closely by the island council. The whole project was completed with the donations given by our foundation and the Islamic Ministry.
