Construction of Audio Visual Room in K. Huraa School

K. Huraa School’s project for establishment of an Audio Visual Room was hindered due to funding constraints faced in the implementation of the project. School’s plan is to renovate the living area of Teachers Quarters and construct joining area to add more space to the AV Room. The Teachers Quarters consist of a living room, 3 rooms and a kitchen. AFTF team visited K. Huraa School during mid October 2014 and met with officials of the School.

This project is implemented with the assistance of AFTF and funds allocated for the project from the school budget.

The construction work of the AV Room started on 22 March 2015. This project is expected to be completed by 21 May 2015.

The school had already received furniture and equipment for the AV Room through donations. A total number of 200 students and the teachers will benefit from the project. On completion of the project, the AV room will also be used for extra classes. School will also rent out AV Room to activities of NGOs and to hold workshops and training programs. This will generate income for the maintenance of AV Room and to the school.
