A ceremony was held today at K. Dhiffushi to implement the design and build of integrated water supply system and sewerage disposal system in K. Dhiffushi. The water & sewerage system at K. Dhiffushi is a donation by Ali Fulhu Thuthu Foundation and Meeru Island Resort & Spa for the people of K. Dhiffushi. In this ceremony an agreement was signed between Ali Fulhu Thuthu Foundation, Meeru Island Resort & Spa and Altec Maldives (Pvt) Ltd.

Mr. Abdulla Saleem Abdul Sattar, Director of KASA Holdings Pvt. Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of AFT Foundation, while the General Manager, Mr. Walter C. Kauffman signed on behalf of Meeru Island Resort & Spa and Managing Director of Altec Maldives Mr. Ibrahim Naseem signed on behalf of Altec Maldives Pvt. Ltd.

The ground breaking was carried out by the founder members and their family and members from Meeru Island Resort & Spa, Altec Maldives and Dhiffushi council. Dhiffushi community also participated in the ground breaking.

The water & sewerage system at K. Dhiffushi would cost 4 Million US Dollars. The project work will be fully completed in 540 days as per the contract.

Dhiffushi is an island located in the north of Male’ Atoll, with a population of around 1300 people.
