Kanditheem took initiation in submitting the proposal to build a children’s’ park where children can come in the mornings and evenings to spend their leisure time in the open and fresh air of the park, away from their congested homes and busy environments. AFT invites applications for the 2012 UWC Scholarships

How to apply Maldivians who wish to attend UWC must first submit a formal application to the UWC National Committee. A selection committee will shortlist candidates and invite them to a two-day ‘selection camp’ which will involve various activities and interviews. Based on this camp as well as the formal interview, the selection committee will select students to attend UWC colleges. All selected candidates will receive a scholarship which covers board and tuition for study at a UWC for two

Supporting Youth Initiatives in HA and HDH Atoll

In 2009 AFTF began a program of funding youth related projects in Haa Alif and Haa Dhaal Atoll. From June – December 2009, AFTF initially funded 71 projects in 30 islands. The amount of materials donated is valued at USD 166,548.89. AFTF Program for 2009 was focused around increasing opportunities for social activities for youth in the islands.
