VTC in carpentry for 10th grade students of Th.Vilufushee School

Th. Vilufushi - Hunaru Program

Level 3 certificate course in carpentry started in April and is on-going in Thaa Atoll Vilufushee School with the funding from AFTF. This project was submitted by the Parent Teachers Association of Th. Atoll Vilufushee School. 15 students of 10th grade are taking part in the course. This project was implemented by the NGO, Bilehdhoo Youth Generation of Faafu Atoll Bilehdhoo. During the visit to all islands in Faafu Atoll in 2014, AFTF visited this island.The island faces environment issues in disposing of garbage. K. Huraa School’s project for establishment of an Audio Visual Room was hindered due to funding constraints faced in the implementation of the project. School’s plan is to renovate the living area of Teachers Quarters and construct joining area to add more space to the AV Room. The Teachers Quarters consist of a living room, 3 rooms and a kitchen.
